This is a crucial role within our company based in Brisbane and will suit an experienced and future focussed, degree qualified Electrical Engineer (Building Services). This role will be highly autonomous in decision making and part of a professional & dedicated team. A strong base salary with potential and opportunity to build this role nationally.

My first impression of the Managing Director of this company was “old school” sincerity! He spoke with genuine affection of his business and his staff, he believes in a strong team culture and being pro-active toward each other. He spoke about loyalty and promoting from within, up-skilling his people, further education, variety of work and has an “open door” policy for anyone who has an idea or a problem. Management and people like this are quite rare these days, but they do exist!
Basic scope of Role: (outline but not limited to)
Leading / managing electrical projects & team activities
Verifying work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with applicable codes and standards, procedures, and the basis of design.
Interactive project involvement
Assisting with Tendering / negotiation / presentations
Overall design analysis of electrical functionality of projects
Documentation & reporting
Attending client meetings and site visits
Your "outside the box" thinking and experience will be a huge asset in this role along with the ability to establish strong relationships with Clients and all internal company divisions (nationally).
Skills, experience & requirements:
Have at least 8 years' experience as a degree qualified Electrical Engineer in the Australian building services engineering sector.
Have knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Building Codes.
Have RPEQ certification or able to obtain
New build construction, fit-outs / referb exp
Have a successful record of delivering Electrical engineering solutions for large commercial projects.
Experience with AutoCad, PowerCad (desirable)
Be a team player willing to work within a collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication & time management skills
Have an eye for detail and accuracy.
Current Australian Drivers licence
