About Us:

We currently employ approximately 40 staff, the planned expansion will  take that number to over 100. Our core business sectors include Industrial Steel Fabrication / Manufacturing & Commercial Construction.


This role will be supporting, promoting and driving a positive and pro-active safety culture through the company. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn and grow with us.

This position forms an integral part of our operational team and it requires an individual who can drive safety within the team and as such, this role will suit an organised self-starter who is confident and capable in all things safety.

Additional information:

  • Coordinating the WH&S, Quality Assurance and assisting with HR and induction processes

  • Supporting all aspects of Quality Assurance including internal audits

  • Supporting the implementation, education and roll out of procedures

  • Operating and maintaining WH&S Software Platform 

  • Auditing and updating policies, procedures and SWMSs to ensure that they align with current legislation and codes of practice

  • Identifying areas for WHS improvement within the business

  • Providing specialist guidance and advice to prevent incidents and injuries and achieve WHS goals

  • Driving continuous improvement of the company's Work Health & Safety processes

  • Providing coaching and support within the teams regarding Work Health and Safety matters

  • Conducting and assisting with investigations into incidents or near misses

  • Facilitating risk assessment process

  • Developing and implementing suitable return to work plans for injured employees

  • Research, formulate and compile policy and procedure documents including related forms to a quality standard


Your "outside the box" thinking, solid planning, and administration skills will be a valuable asset in this role, along with the ability to establish strong relationships. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety / OH&S

  • Demonstrated experience in a WHS role within the manufacturing / construction / Steel Fabrication sectors

  • RTW Coordination certification (desirable)

  • Strong computer skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally

  • Ability to stay calm and focused during situations involving injuries and or investigations

  • Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivating

  • Work within the team supporting other areas of Quality Assurance & Human Resources

  • CC3 Certification (highly desirable)
